STM conducts follow-up to meet the alumnus in their various workplaces.
During 2021 first quarter follow-up field trips in Eastern Uganda, Dr Miriam Mutabazi, STM East Africa Executive Director met Sister Agirie Lubega, an alumnus of MPHL who heads the Maternal and Child Health Department at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital.
Agirie is also an Assistant Commissioner. Sister Lubega described the developments and challenges faced by the hospital.
In an effort to solve space challenges in the MCH unit at the hospital, Sr Agirie shifted the antenatal clinic to a building within the hospital complex that was not being used. She sought to create a centralized hub for maternal care and well-being.
