Save the Mothers has started a new Post-natal project with support from Stronger Together, Canada.
The project aims to enable midwives to visit mothers in the community and their home. The project is implemented in Bulambuli and Mbale districts in eastern Uganda.
To implement the Postnatal project Save the Mother is working with existing structures in the districts such as the district health offices. With this Save the Mothers is privileged to work alongside its alumnus Stephen Waniala who is newly appointed Assistant District Health Officer in-charge of Maternal and Child Health, Bulambuli district, eastern Uganda. Through his work Stephen is influencing MCH agenda in Bulambuli.
